CPA Job Description

Responsibilities 

• Effectively conduct initial prospect meetings while incorporating Landwehr Tax & Accounting’s core values 
• Lead on new client setup, logistics, team assignments and oversight as clients are being on-boarded to the Landwehr Tax & Accounting team 
• Supervise, train and troubleshoot as needed for Landwehr bookkeeping and payroll personnel 
• Oversee assigned processes to ensure they are being completed efficiently and timely 
• Manage/develop/update core processes as they best fit with Landwehr Tax & Accounting’s vision 
• Create accurate financial statements as required for monthly and quarterly meetings 
• Prepare individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently 
• Handle client issues/concerns/questions timely and professionally 
• Develop and maintain referral source relationships 
• Develop new client contacts 

Technical Skills 

• CPA 
• 5+ years in the public accounting field 
• Extensive knowledge of tax rules and regulations, both individual and business 
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks software 
• Working knowledge of payroll services 
• Knowledge of Lacerte Tax and Office Tools software helpful, but not required 
• Ability to problem-solve with other accounting staff members
